According to source, in Landover, Maryland, three individuals were shot on Friday as they were leaving a funeral in a van, prompting an investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department. The incident is believed to be a targeted attack, as indicated by officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department. Fortunately, none of the injuries sustained during the shooting were deemed life-threatening, according to a statement released on social media by the Prince George’s County Police Department. The shooting occurred as the van was turning left out of the National Harmony Memorial Park cemetery in Landover, a suburb of Washington.

News outlets captured footage revealing bullet holes in the black van, adding a layer of distress to an already sensitive situation. Major Chad Schmick of the Prince George’s County Police Department, speaking at a brief news conference, emphasized the audacity of the assailant or assailants, describing them as “brazen enough to shoot at this procession.”

The victims, comprising two women and a man, were in a van that officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department believe was specifically targeted. The van likely carried close family members of the deceased individual whose funeral they were attending.
