Starting in nine days, Idaho SNAP benefits will be received by households. The Idaho SNAP benefits are also known as food stamps.
The distribution of Idaho SNAP benefits follows a schedule based on the last digit of the recipient’s birth year. Those with birth years ending in 1, 2, or 3 will receive Idaho SNAP benefits on December 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
Birth years ending in 4, 5, or 6 will receive Idaho SNAP benefits on December 4, 5, and 6, and birth years ending in 7, 8, 9, or 0 will receive Idaho SNAP benefits on December 7, 8, 9, and 10 respectively.
Even if someone becomes eligible for Idaho SNAP benefits after their designated distribution date or after December 10, they will still receive Idaho SNAP benefits for December and will not need to wait until January.
According to a published article by the Washington Examiner, on average, each household member receives Idaho SNAP benefits amounting to $175 per month. In Idaho, approximately 124,100 individuals, about 6% of the population, receive Idaho SNAP benefits.
Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Announcement
In a published article by StateScoop, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services has announced that recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) whose benefits were stolen after October 1, 2022, can now apply to get them reinstated.
Other states offering reimbursements include Alabama, Maryland, and Vermont.
