A six-story apartment building in Davenport, Iowa, partially collapsed where the search and rescue operation was made, wherein three bodies were found, and was reported to have been officially over on Monday, according to the officials on CNN News US.
After the three sole victims were found, the authorities were certain that there were no other victims from the collapsed building, making the operation officially end, according to the New York Times.
Davenport Police Chief Jeff Bladel said on Monday that it was early Monday when they found the remains of 60-year-old Daniel Prien, and the body of 51-year-old Ryan Hitchcock was found on Sunday. On the other hand, it was Saturday when the team found the remains of 42-year-old Branden Colvin, the same day of his son’s high school graduation.

It was shown from the surveillance video taken from the roof of the nearby building that, 10 minutes before the tragic incident on Main Street, it was seen in the video that a support brace bent and parts of the brick on the exterior crumbled around it.Â
The footage showed the gradual bending of five support braces leaning against the wall, with one brace closest to the camera.
According to a structural engineer’s report on May 23, those support braces match the identified braces that were instructed to be put in place to support and secure the brick wall.
