A Robbery At Jeff Dennis Jewelers
A woman named Heather Denise Wright attempted to steal jewelry from Jeff Dennis Jewelers in Alabama. She entered Jeff Dennis Jewelers wearing a mask and carrying a can of bear spray, but first wished the workers Happy Holidays.
When she unleashed the bear spray inside the store, Jeff Dennis Jewelers’ owner, Jeff Dennis, shot her in the shoulder to protect his store and employees. The suspect of the robbery at Jeff Dennis Jewelers fled but was later captured by the police.
The Jeff Dennis Jewelers’ owner stated that he found additional weapons in her purse. The suspect of the robbery at Jeff Dennis Jewelers is now facing charges of robbery and criminal use of defense spray.
According to a published article by Fox News, Jeff Dennis Jewelers temporarily closed but has since reopened with limited service.
Birmingham Apartment Complex
In a published article by AL.com, the owner recognized the situation and drew his weapon. The robber sprayed bear spray at the employees and Dennis shot her in the shoulder to defend himself and others.
The suspect dropped her purse, which contained additional weapons for the robbery, and fled after pleading for him to stop. The store was then secured, and the police arrived within two minutes.
A search was launched, and the woman was eventually taken into custody at a Birmingham apartment complex. Jeff Dennis Jewelers is currently closed for cleaning but will reopen on Friday.
