White Neighbor Fatally Shot Black Mother In Florida In Front Of Her Children

An alleged woman fatally shot a Florida mother through the front door of her neighbor’s door while her 9-year-old son is playing next to her.

According to Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods 35-year-old Ajike Owens, was fatally shot after going to the Ocala Apartment, she go there because the woman yelled at Owen’s son while they were playing nearby with throw a pair of skates and hit one of them. Officers received a call and they immediately responded to the apartment and found there Owens struggling from a gunshot. The mother of four was rushed immediately to the nearby hospital but unfortunately died. Deputy Woods said that he wished that Owens just call them to report a feud between the women instead of fighting back. He added that Owens already reported this feud between her and the women last January 2021 and they already responded to this many times, they haven’t arrested and identified the shooter yet because it immediately run through the crime scene.

Detectives are still working on the case with the State Attorney’s Office because the incident must be a possible self-defense claim, moving forward the deputies still have not interviewed the child who has seen the crime because the child might be in deep trauma and must be taken to a mental therapist.

Black Mother In Florida Fatally Shot By Neighbor In Front Of Children

According to Owen’s Civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump, it may be because the women have been racist to them because Owen and her children are black and it is one of the factors why the women shoot her. Owens’ mother, Pamela Dias said in an interview that her daughter is a kind and smart, and very loving mother to her children, she is asking the deputies for justice and she was also hoping that they can file a case already against the women behind the crime.
