The Phoenix Police Department investigated David De Nitto, the widower of Maricopa County Attorney Allister Adel,’s alleged murder-suicide on Christmas Eve. A house at 5700 North 2nd Avenue hosted the upsetting event.
Tragic Christmas Eve Shooting Claims Lives of Two Women Linked to David De Nitto, Widower of Allister Adel
Two ladies with gunshot wounds were found by officers responding to a shooting report before 11:30 p.m. on December 24, 2023. The victims, 83-year-old Cynthia Domini and 47-year-old Maryalice Cash were transported to the hospital but died. A suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound killed 47-year-old De Nitto inside the home.
Cash and De Nitto may have been dating, according to Phoenix Police. An argument preceded the shooting at the apartment during a Christmas gathering.
The current occurrences and Adel’s April 2022 death add to the sadness. After Adel’s death, De Nitto said he and his young sons were “utterly heartbroken by this unimaginable loss” and were proud to name Allister their mother.
