Police in Pueblo, Colorado, shot and killed an armed carjacker on Tuesday afternoon. At 2:11 p.m., Pueblo police got a complaint regarding an armed carjacking near Jerry Murphy Road and Bonnymede Road. Officers found the suspect vehicle on Pueblo’s south side.
Pueblo Police Shoot Armed Carjacking Suspect After Pursuit
An officer chased the suspect vehicle, which hit a barrier between Broadway and Michigan avenues. Two people left the car and ran away. One suspect ran west down an alley, while the other ran east.
Pueblo Police said the fleeing suspect “produced a handgun, and shots were fired.” Unfortunately, this person died on the scene. Pueblo County coroner will reveal the deceased’s identification later.
The second suspect was caught “after a brief foot chase and struggle with police.” Fortunately, no police officers were hurt.

Deadly Confrontation with Armed Suspect in Pueblo
Police pursued the suspect car after identifying it, according to the source. The crash ended the pursuit, and the suspects fled on foot.
The Pueblo Police Department emphasized using deadly force to stop the armed suspect traveling west. A firearm was discharged by the fleeing suspect, killing him.
