Unsafe Cities In Ohio Newcomers Should Be Wary Of

Some cities in Ohio are considered relatively unsafe. It is recommended for those considering living in these cities in Ohio to upgrade their home security.

According to a published article by the Southwest Journal, Canton is identified as one of the most dangerous cities in Ohio to live in, with a high burglary rate and overall violent crime rate. Moraine, part of the Dayton Metro Area, has the second-highest overall crime rate compared to the other cities in Ohio, primarily due to its high rate of property crime.

Cleveland, Ohio’s second most populous city, has also one of the highest violent crime rates compared to the other cities in Ohio, including the highest murder rate. Springfield, Ohio, located near Dayton, is also one of the most dangerous cities in Ohio. It had a high rate of burglaries in 2020, with approximately two per day, making it the second-highest burglary rate in the state.

Portsmouth, Ohio is a town in the south-central part of the state, across the river from Kentucky. Is also considered one of the most unsafe cities in Ohio due to its notable high rate of burglaries, with 177 incidents reported in a year. Cities in Ohio that are mentioned above are best to avoid as troubles are waiting around the corner of these places.

Ohio House Bill 68

In a published article by ABC News, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has vetoed Ohio House Bill 68, which consists of two acts. The first act called the Save Adolescents from Experimentation Act, aims to ban transgender minors from receiving gender-affirming medical care.

The second act, known as the Save Women’s Sports Act, aims to prevent transgender girls from participating in girls’ and women’s sports. Gov. DeWine stated that he believed administrative rules would be a better approach to address the concerns raised by the legislature.
