Former Lady Griz Basketball Star Faces Assault Charges: Allegedly Stabs Husband with Butter Knife
A guy told the Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office at 5:45 a.m. on Dec. 30 that Schlimgen had stabbed him the day before, according to court filings. Visibly agitated, the man handed me two butter knives in a Ziploc bag he said were involved. He was hesitant and emotional, saying he didn’t want Schlimgen in trouble and that she needed alcoholism treatment.
After drinking, the man described a Dec. 29 argument. The quarrel intensified in the hot tub, so the man went to bed alone to calm down. Schlimgen entered the dark room with a butter knife, cursing and swearing, then punched and stabbed the man below his right armpit in the upper body. The man disarmed Schlimgen and stopped her onslaught. Police say Schlimgen threatened to contact 911 and accused the man of abuse in a video of the altercation.
An officer called the man’s wound “a clear and fresh wound that appeared to be made by a slicing motion.” The residence interview with Schlimgen yielded little details beyond a general disagreement.
