Former South Carolina Governor Joins Trump in Support of Texas Governor’s Border Efforts
In a news published by News Max, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has voiced his support for Texas in repelling illegal immigration. He has encouraged willing states to deploy their guards to Texas to prevent the entry of illegal immigrants pouring through the border.
Nikki Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, also supports Trump’s stance in support of Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s confrontation with the federal government regarding the southern border. She declared that Texas is within every right to defend its territory and borders.
Trump criticized the Biden administration for attempting to tie the hands of Governor Abbott in his efforts to secure the border, stating that all Americans should support the commonsense measures by Texas authorities to protect safety, security, and sovereignty.

Texas Governor’s Border Security Standoff Against the Federal Government
Haley, aiming to retain her candidacy for the GOP’s nomination for president, highlighted the importance of protecting citizens from illegal immigration. Both Trump and Haley stand in solidarity with the 24 Republican governors who released a joint statement supporting Abbott’s border security measures.
This occurred after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that federal border agents are authorized to remove razor-wire that the Texas National Guard had erected. Abbott continues to implement additional border security measures despite the ruling, with the backing of Trump, Haley, and other Republican leaders.
