An Ohio mother is charged with murder after police say she left her 16-month-old daughter home alone for more than a week, ultimately resulting in the toddler’s death.

16-Month-Old Baby Left In The House For One Week And Died, Ohio Mother Arrested
Cleveland Division of Police arrested Kristel Candelario, 31-Year-Old last June 16, 2023, after leaving her 16-month-old daughter home alone for more than a week and resulting in the toddler’s death.
She showed up at her Cleveland home at around 8 a.m. to find her young daughter unresponsive and called a medics, they immediately responded but, unfortunately, the child was pronounced to death.
Police say they did not notice any physical abuse to the child. The mother was shocked and in fear after seeing her daughter unresponsive. Authorities said that the mother left the poor daughter at home alone for about 2 weeks and did not know where she go.

Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office is already conducting a full autopsy to determine the toddler’s cause of death and the investigators concluded that the toddler died on the 10th day that she was left with no one in the house. The baby maybe starving to death or just fall down or hurt the head which results in her death. Cleveland Division of Police immediately arrested the mother after the Medics pronounced the death of her daughter. She will be scheduled to face the court for interrogations next week.
