According to People, Carlethia “Carlee” Nichole Russell, 25, reached out to emergency services around 9:34 p.m. on Thursday, alerting them to a toddler she had spotted walking along I-459 South near mile marker 11. The Hoover Police Department has since issued a press release highlighting this mysterious incident’s circumstances.
Before the arrival of law enforcement, the Alabama woman took it upon herself to ensure the welfare of the child she had spotted, and she promptly contacted a family member to share the distressing situation. However, a disturbing turn of events unfolded as the conversation unfolded.
While on the call, the family member suddenly lost contact with the Alabama woman, yet the phone line remained open.
The Alabama woman’s mother, Talitha Russell, revealed to the authorities that the individual on the other end of the line was her son’s girlfriend, who claimed to have heard alarming screams before the call went eerily silent. This perplexing development has raised further concerns about the well-being of the Alabama woman and has intensified the ongoing investigation.

According to WVTM 13, family members have come together to locate the missing Alabama woman for a search operation at the Hoover Met, appealing to the public for assistance. The Alabama woman’s parents have shared crucial information from a trucker who claims to have witnessed the situation.
According to the trucker, they saw the Alabama woman’s car with its door ajar while a gray vehicle had pulled up in front of it. These details have added urgency to the search efforts as the community rallies to help find the missing individual.
“Her car door was open, the engine was running, and they found her phone on the ground, along with her wig and her hat. Her purse was still in the car. Her Apple watch was in her purse and her Air Pods as well,” said Talitha Russell, as quoted by AL.com.
