(Photo: WAVY 10 TV)According to a report published by 13 News Now, Jahleel Angus, a resident of Yorktown who was 27 years old, has been named as the deceased by Hampton police in a shooting incident. A 29-year-old Newport News man is the second victim, and he is reportedly still in the hospital in line with the shooting incident at the Hampton convenience store.
A shooting incident at a 7-Eleven convenience shop in a parking lot resulted in the death of one man and the serious injury of another.
At the corner of Mercury Blvd. and Orcutt Ave., on a fateful Sunday, the shooting incident took place.
A representative for the Hampton Police Division stated that just before 2:30 a.m., their officers were dispatched to the 7-Eleven location. in reaction to a gunfire complaint.
When they arrived, they found a sizable crowd of individuals behaving “disorderly” due to the shooting incident.
Police discovered one of them in the parking area with a gunshot wound. He was determined to be dead on the spot. Police continued to get calls while they were there, notifying them that a second man had entered a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound.
It was stated that his injury was “life-threatening” as a result of the shooting incident
According to a published article from News Break, the spokesperson claimed that the results of their initial inquiry showed that both the victims and the suspect were present among the sizable group of people gathered in the 7-Eleven’s parking lot.
The suspect of the shooting incident approached the victims and fired a gun at them, striking each one before running away on foot.
The representative claimed that at this time, they are unable to offer any information regarding a potential suspect.
