On July 14, a serious assault involving Curtis Young was reported to the Valdosta Police Department (VPD), and officers were dispatched to the scene.
According to a report from ABC 27, officers from the Virginia Police Department (VPD) were dispatched to the 1500 block of Baymeadows Drive at around 8 o’clock after 911 received many calls reporting a shooting nearby.
Officers arrived and discovered a guy, 32, who had been shot in a lower extremity. Before EMS and the Valdosta Fire Department (VFD) could treat the victim, officers administered first aid.
The victim and witnesses provided a thorough description of the perpetrator, ultimately identified as 28-year-old Curtis Terrell Young, as well as the home that Curtis Young entered.
When officers arrived at the house, they discovered Curtis Young, who was quickly brought into prison.
To carry out the inquiry, detectives and crime scene personnel were dispatched to the scene. The house where Curtis Young was found was the subject of a search warrant.
There was discovered evidence linking Curtis Young to the shooting.
Also from a published news from WALB News 10, Curtis Young was taken to the Lowndes County Jail and booked on charges of felony aggravated assault and having a gun while committing a crime.
After receiving care at South Georgia Medical Center, the victim was discharged.
Leslie Manahan, chief of the VPD, said, “We are grateful that the victim and witnesses cooperated in this case. Their cooperation made it possible for our officers to carry out their duties and make the arrest.
Now the perpetrator can face consequences.
