On the South Side early on Wednesday, a man shot two women, killing one of them before shooting himself, according to Chicago police.
At 8:57 in the morning, a shooting in South Side took place in the 7600 block of South Michigan Avenue.
Two women, 32 and 53 years old, were in a house, according to the police, when one of them got into a verbal altercation with a 34-year-old guy which resulted in a shooting in South Side.
According to authorities on the shooting in South Side, the man pulled out a firearm, shot both of the women in the abdomen, and then shot himself in the head to injure himself.
The 32-year-old was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where, according to authorities, she eventually passed away. The 53-year-old woman was taken in critical condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
According to authorities on the shooting in South Side, the man was also taken in critical condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
According to Chicago police, there was an argument before this murder-suicide attempt as a result in the shooting in South Side.
Authorities eye on further evidence to speed the investigation
In a published report from WGN9, the residence in Greater Grand Crossing where it happened was searched for evidence for hours both inside and outside.
Lisa Robinson-Allen, the neighbor next door, claimed she only recently moved in and is not well acquainted with her neighbors. As they try to piece together how the series of incidents happened, place has requested her home security footage.
The shooter’s gun was found close to the garage where, according to authorities, he allegedly shot himself in the head after the shooting in South Side incident.
Although it appears the older woman owns the house, the relationships between the three were not immediately obvious.
