The Department of Attorney General is now underway a state prosecution of Rashad Maleek Trice for the possible murder charges he faces in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Wynter Smith, a 2-year-old toddler.
Murder Charges to the Suspect of the Death of the 2-year-old toddler
On July 5, three days after Trice had abducted Wynter Cole Smith, sexually abused and hurt her mother in Lansing apartment, and stolen the mother’s car, her body was discovered in an alleyway in Detroit.
On Friday, July 21, State General Dana Nessel announced murder charges against 26-year-old Rashad Maleek Trice. Although he has not been charged with murder , he is currently being prosecuted for his alleged involvement in the awful behavior on a number of counts, including, murder charges, kidnapping and sexual assault.
Rashad Maleek Trice’s Imprisonment at the Newaygo County Jail
According to a CBS News Detroit published article, Trice is being imprisoned at the Newaygo County Jail on 18 state and federal offenses and misdemeanors.
While the office of the attorney general looks into and evaluates charges, each case will be adjudicated in county court.
