Amir Coffey, a forward with the Clippers, was detained early on Sunday in Hollywood on suspicion of concealing a weapon while riding as a passenger, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
In a published report from 213 Hoops, according to the LAPD, Amir Coffey was one of two passengers in a car that was pulled over for speeding at 1:50 a.m. near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Highland Avenue.
According to authorities, the driver received a ticket for speeding, while one of the passengers received a ticket for marijuana possession. Their names were kept a secret by the LAPD.
According to jail records for Los Angeles County, Amir Coffey was arrested at 5:05 a.m. for the infraction. released on Sunday over four hours later. For a hearing on the subject, Amir Coffey must appear in court on August 24.

Amir Coffey signed with the Clippers in 2019 after going undrafted out of Minnesota.

Last season, Amir Coffey took part in 50 games and averaged 3.4 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists.
