Lawyers states the Mental Condition of Johnson
In a published report by People, Johnson was put to death after an unsuccessful attempt at the United States. Johnson’s defenders contend that his mental illness precludes him from acknowledging the link between the death sentence and the criminal act he perpetrated.
Johnson’s execution marks him the 16th prisoner executed in the United States this year, according to the Death Penalty Information Center.
