Investigators in Florida are actively searching for the family members of a Sarasota woman whose dead remains were discovered dumped in the woods 16 years ago, trying to find out who murdered her and why her loved ones failed to report her whereabouts.
Florida Investigation On The Buried Skeletal Body of A Woman
The identified remains of a woman found buried in the woods raise serious concerns for Florida police investigators. The person being assaulted has been named as Jeana Lynn Burrus, a 39-year-old mother who lived on Pauline Avenue in Sarasota, Fla., with her husband James Burrus, and their son James Burrus, Jr., according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.

Whereabouts of the Victim’s Family
In a published article in People, according to a press statement issued by the sheriff’s office this week, investigators were unsuccessful to locate Jeana’s body for more than a decade and a half before advances in DNA testing contributed to solving the mystery.
As of now, the police are cooperating closely and alerting the public that if anyone knows the victim’s family or spouse, they ought to notify the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office promptly.
