Alec Baldwin may face charges in connection with a deadly shooting on the set of Rust.
The defense in Baldwin’s case claimed that the movie weapon could have fired without anyone pulling the trigger due to modifications. However, a study indicates that the deadly shooting occurred because the trigger was manually pulled after retracting and cocking the hammer.
The special prosecutors in charge in the deadly shooting case have mentioned that they will bring forward deadly shooting charges against Baldwin again, in case it is discovered that the gun did not have any mechanical issues.
So far no new charges in regards to the deadly shooting have been filed yet but prosecutors stated that charges for the deadly shooting is forthcoming.

Alec Baldwin, who had criminal charges over the deadly shooting, dropped against him, might still have to go to court for the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, says People .
People added that in October 2021, actor Alec Baldwin accidentally fired a gun on the set of a Western film in New Mexico. The deadly shooting incident resulted in writer-director Joel Souza getting injured and cinematographer Halyna Hutchins losing her life.
As a result, Baldwin, who was also a producer of the film, was charged by the Santa Fe County District Attorney’s Office with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in relation to the said deadly shooting.
Prosecutors Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis stated in a court filing on June 9 that the deadly shooting charges against Baldwin were dismissed in April, and that it was done without prejudice.
This means that actor Alec Baldwin could potentially face charges again in the future as the investigation related to the said deadly shooting is still ongoing.
Alec Baldwin repeatedly maintained his stance that during the shooting incident, the gun went off without him pulling its trigger.
