A 19-year-old man has been taken into custody by Rock Island Police in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred early on Saturday. The 19-year-old has been charged with second-degree murder.
According to KWQC TV6’s article, around 2:54 a.m., police were called to the 2000 block of 33rd Street after hearing shots fired. Saturday. When they arrived, they discovered two shooting victims. An unidentified male victim soon as they arrived.
Rock Island Fire Department personnel drove both men to UnityPoint Health-Trinity Hospital. According to the release, the unnamed victim passed away from his injuries while being transported, 19-year-old was one of the victims. The other was Glenn J. Evans, Jr., a 19-year-old.

As soon as they arrived, Rock Island Fire Department personnel drove both men to UnityPoint Health-Trinity Hospital. According to the release, the unnamed victim passed away from his injuries while being transported.
The 19-year-old man, Evans, is being held at the Rock Island County Jail without bond pending a court date on a charge of second-degree murder.
