The man who disrupted a panel event in New York City featuring Drew Barrymore earlier this week has been arrested by the Southampton police department.
Chief of Police James Kiernan of Southampton Police Department confirmed to the Deadline the arrest of the alleged stalker, Chad Busto.
Busto was detained by the Southampton police department near the actress’s house in Southampton, Long Island.
Busto was arrested by Southampton Police Department after being seen going door to door, asking for directions to Barrymore’s house.
Further investigation led to the suspect’s arrest the next day, according to Southampton Police Department Chief.

Chad Busto is said to be taken by the Southampton Police Department to the Town Police Headquarters for processing of the arrest.
According to Daily Mail that Chad Michael Busto was arrested by the Southampton Police Department outside Drew Barrymore’s $6 million Long Island farmhouse.
Law enforcement confirmed to TMZ that Busto walked onto the steps outside the estate of Drew before the Southampton Police Department. Thankfully, Drew Barrymore was not present at the time, Daily Mail added.
Aside from the arrest made by the Southampton Police department, alleged stalker Chad Busto already has an extensive criminal history including his arrest in Santa Monica, Georgia, Texas and other cities, and also has an alleged past stalking behavior of Amber Heard.
