When To Receive The Supplemental Security Income Payments

Supplemental Security Income payments for November will be issued in two weeks and will be worth up to $914 for individual filers. The next Supplemental Security Income payments will be sent on November 1.

This is the first Supplemental Security Income payments since September 29 due to a scheduling issue. To qualify for the Supplemental Security Income payments, filers must be at least 65 and meet specific financial requirements.

Some individuals under 65 may also qualify for Supplemental Security Income payments if they have a disability or are partially blind. The amount of each Supplemental Security Income payments is determined by income, living situation, and assets.

According to a published article in the Washington Examiner, couples can receive up to $1,371 per month, while individuals providing necessary care receive up to $458. Children can also be eligible for Supplemental Security Income payments. The amount of each Supplemental Security Income payments is expected to increase.

Cost-Of-Living Adjustment

In a published article by Yahoo Finance, inflation in the United States fell to its lowest level in over two years in June, but the estimated Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for 2024 actually increased.

The increase would raise the current average monthly benefit by approximately $53.60, but the actual impact will depend on the announcement of Medicare Part B premiums.
