Memphis Man Arrested For Evading Arrest
A 23-year-old Memphis man was arrested after running away from the Capitola Mall and crossing the rooftops of nearby businesses. The incident began when police were called to the mall due to four men, including the Memphis man, soliciting donations.
One of the men that was with the Memphis man was even using a donor’s phone to transfer more money than agreed upon. One of the men who was with the Memphis man fled on foot, jumping through a roof and crossing multiple streets and fences before being apprehended.
The Memphis man is identified as Ladarius Spears. The Memphis man is held on charges of felony vandalism and evading arrest.
According to a published article by Santa Cruz Sentinel, the police are investigating the case of the Memphis man. The police are also warning the public about scams involving sharing cell phones with strangers just like what the Memphis man did with the other men he was with.
Comerica Bank in Capitola Robbery
In a published article by KSBW, police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at Comerica Bank in Capitola.
The suspect, described as a 5’8″ woman wearing a gray hoodie and surgical mask, robbed the bank around 4 p.m.
An arrest has since been made by authorities in Half Moon Bay.
