Horrific Mass Shooting Claims 18 Lives in Lewiston, Maine
According to source, on Wednesday night, a tragic mass shooting in Maine’s Lewiston left 18 people dead and 13 injured. The horrifying shooting began with the first call reporting a shooting at Just-In-Time Recreation, a bowling alley, at 6:56 p.m. Soon after, at 7:08 p.m., another call came in about a shooting at Schemengees Bar and Grille, located about four miles away from the first shooting in Maine. Seven lives were lost at Just-In-Time due to the shooting, and at Schemengees, seven individuals were killed inside the bar, with one more killed outside because of the shooting. Tragically, three victims succumbed to their injuries in the hospital following the shooting in Maine.
Authorities have been able to identify eight of the victims connected to the shooting in Maine, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant for the suspect on eight counts of murder, as the remaining ten victims remained unidentified due to the shooting in Maine.
The suspect was revealed to be a Petroleum Supply Specialist in the U.S. Army Reserve and had undergone a two-week commitment to a mental health facility the previous summer, possibly related to the shooting in Maine.

Community Finds Relief as Suspect in Lewiston Shooting Found Dead
The suspect in this devastating incident, Robert Card, was found dead near a river in Lisbon, Maine, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound at 7:45 p.m. ET, as reported by Maine State Police, marking a significant development in the aftermath of the shooting. The news brought relief to the community affected by the shooting, and Maine Governor Janet Mills expressed her gratitude to law enforcement for their handling of the situation. She also communicated with President Joe Biden after the suspect was discovered, emphasizing the need for healing following the shooting in Maine.
Lewiston, a city with a population of approximately 38,500, now faces the challenging process of recovery and healing following the tragic shooting in Maine.
