Max Kepler and Jorge Polanco are said to earn huge amounts of money next season.
Max Kepler And Jorge Polanco’s Options
The Minnesota Twins have started to exercise their club options for the year 2024 on players Max Kepler and infielder Jorge Polanco. Max Kepler will make $10 million and Polanco will make $10.5 million next season.
Both players, Max Kepler and Jorge Polanco, had a $1 million buyout. Max Kepler and Jorge Polanco’s performance this year made those prices a good deal for both of them.
Max Kepler batted .260 with 24 home runs in 130 games as the regular right fielder, while Polanco hit .255 with 14 home runs in 80 games. Max Kepler has hit 153 home runs in his nine seasons with the Twins, while Polanco has the most home runs in Twins history by a switch-hitter.
According to a published article by AP News, the Twins also have an option on Polanco for the 2025 season at $12.5 million.
A Trade Could Still Happen To Both Players
In a published article by CBS News, Kepler was a standout player last season, leading the team in home runs, RBIs, and runs scored. Polanco, although limited by injuries, has hit the most home runs in team history by a switch hitter.
While the options have been exercised, a trade could still happen involving either player. Kepler’s contract will end after the 2024 season, while Polanco has a club option for 2025.
