How Melody Sasser Hired A Hitman Online

Melody Sasser is currently charged with murder for hire, according to the complaint that was picked up by WVLT. The complaint was filed in Knoxville’s U.S. District Court last month. Sasser was linked to a dark-web account, where she offered $9,750 in payment to the Online Killers Market using Bitcoin, reported by WVLT.

Screenshots of the investigation show Sasser using the username “cattree”, where she instructed the admin of the Online Killers Market that the killing should seem like an accident, and she specifically said that she does not want a long investigation after the deed was done, along with the victim’s information. After hiring a hitman, Sasser later complained about the “job” having delays, and that she insisted that it should be done as soon as possible.

How Sasser was Apprehended by the Authorities.

An agent from Homeland Security received information about Sasser’s plot to kill the man’s wife from a law enforcement agency. It was later revealed that the man and Sasser met online through the dating app Match.com

When the wife was informed of the threat, she stated that her husband and Sasser were friends from their hiking group in Knoxville before he moved to Alabama. She also said that Sasser harassed and threatened both her and her husband after Sasser found out that they were engaged.

Sasser’s attorney was not able to comment on the matter immediately and Sasser’s hearing is set for June 8 in the federal court.
