Gas station clerk Tava Woodard was found dead an hour after she sent a text to her friends saying that she felt unsafe during her shift.
The Innocent Gas Station Clerk That Was Murdered By Two Men
23-year-old Tava Woodard was murdered by two men at the Roadrunner Market in Tennessee, where she worked as a store clerk. When the masked men entered the store, Woodard obeyed and gave the two men their demands. Despite her being compliant, she was still murdered by the two men. Prior to her death, she managed to text her friends saying that she no longer felt safe at her job, and explained to her mother that she wanted to work elsewhere. Melissa Jones, Woodard’s mother, stated that according to Woodard’s coworkers, the panic button under the counter of the store was not working.
Days after Woodard’s murder, a father and his son were arrested in relation to the crime. According to the authorities, both were charged with murder.

How the Community Mourned Woodard’s Death and How Her Family Received Help from the Community
News of Woodard’s death has spread around the world, causing communities and people from all over the globe to send help and offer support to her family. A GoFundMe was created to pool all the financial help coming to Woodard’s family from people who offered to help.
Jones asked everyone to plant flowers in Woodard’s honor she wanted the people at her funeral to plant flowers so that she would “continue to grow.” Jones thanked those who offered and sent help to the family.
