Milwaukee County’s first openly LGBTQ+ county supervisor Peter Burgelis says an assailant called him a gay slur and then punched him in the face this week at a suburban mall.

County’s first openly LGBTQ+, Milwaukee claims that he was attacked by a man, who called him gay slur and punched him in the face at a suburban mall.
Monday, Milwaukee County’s first openly LGBTQ+ county supervisor Peter Burgelis is inside a store at Mayfair Mall and was punched in the face. According to the Wauwatosa police, the attack happened after a fight in the parking lot, and before they arrived at the scene the suspect left but police say they already have the identity of the suspect and will continue to investigate.
According to Burgelis at an interview that after he was punched, he was immediately rushed to the hospital and was scheduled to have jaw surgery.

Milwaukee County Supervisor Claims That A Man Call Him A Gay Slur And Punch Him At The Mall
He said that he will never accept those acts of violence to distract the efforts of the LGBTQ+ community to be accepted in society. He said that the attack happened serves as a threat to his LGBTQ+ family and will always be their problem. He will also make sure that that kind of people in the society will pay. He said that everyone must respect gender identity and support the because it will increase your ability to have close relationships with the same gender and it will have an impact on the population and growth or each one of us.
