The state of Illinois will soon have its own healthcare insurance, giving the state more control over high price rates.
Illinois To Have Its Own Healthcare Insurance
Last Tuesday, Governor JB Pritzker passed a bill that would give the state more control over the prices of healthcare insurance. Pritzker also approved the Affordable Care Act, which would allow the people of Illinois to have options whether to avail of individual healthcare plans or family-sized plans.
One of the bills approved gives way for the state to allow the exchange of healthcare plans to be available for sale by 2025.

Healthcare Insurance More Accessible and Affordable For the People Of Illinois
By approving the said bills, the state will also be able to track and identify which locations are in need of additional assistance or education regarding the bill and the exchange which is based on the date of the applications.
Pritzker stated that ever since the start of his administration, he has been fixated on and committed to making healthcare more holistic, accessible, and affordable. He added that these bills would not only serve to increase access and affordability of healthcare but also to improve the quality of life and overall well-being for millions of people that consider and call Illinois a place to call home.
Pritzker chose to close the registration for the program this July 1 for people who are qualified under the age of 65 and to limit the registration for people aged 65 and above.
