Tax Refund 2023 $1.4 Billion May Forfeit By The Government

IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel said that the time is running out and there are millions of people that didn’t get their tax refund in 2023.

These refunds are those refunds that haven’t been filed and didn’t claim in 2019. He said that there are many people that haven’t received their tax refund because of the COVID-19 pandemic and he is now encouraging people to check their records in order for them to claim the tax refund in 2023. According to the IRS tax refunds that are unclaimed in 2019 may be forfeited to the government of it’s not claimed within 3 years.

There is about $1.4 billion comes from over 1 million taxpayers who still haven’t filed returns for the 2019 tax year. The IRS is encouraging to file now in order for them to claim the Tax Refund 2023. They said those people who didn’t file are those youngsters, college students, low-incomers and some senior citizens.

The tax Refund 2023 deadline for the 2019 claims would be on July 17, before it was April 15 due to the delay of the pandemic but since the pandemic is over now it would be in July. The Tax Refund 2023 is fast approaching so to those people who haven’t filed in 2019 should file now or else your money will be donated in the government. Even if you have low-income, if your employer will get tax from you in order to get the refund you may file ai so you may be eligible in Tax Refund 2023. If the reason of not filing is you lost some pieces of information and data, you can actually request online from the IRS. Tax refund 2023 is fast approaching, remember there are more than billion dollars in unclaimed refunds in 2023, make sure you get yours.
