After confessing to his crimes, a serial killer in Brazil who allegedly used dating apps to meet some of his 14 victims has been apprehended this week.

Serial Killer Admits To Murders In Brazil
Record TV reports that the 35-year-old serial killer Renato Teixeira da Silva admitted to killing 14 individuals over the course of 16 years, some of whom he met through dating apps and some of whom he killed while working as an escort. According to the report, the serial killer was known as “Bruno” while working as an escort. Deputy Roberto Krasovic of the 6th DP of São Bernardo do Campo also told the news outlet that Teixeira began killing at the age of 19.
According to reports, the serial killer frequently used a knife in some of his killings, and authorities are also looking into whether poison was utilized. Teixeira informed reporters that while leaving the police station, he murdered a total of 14 people.
According to Record TV, the serial killer originally denied killing more than nine people before admitting to just nine, and while he was being looked into for the murders of two men and a woman in São Paulo.

The 35-year-old serial killer, who was previously under investigation for three of the killings, reportedly confessed to merely nine of them while in police detention, according to the newspaper O Globo.
When a São Bernardo man’s death was discovered inside a leased house, homeowners allegedly received a call from Teixeira identifying himself as “Bruno,” a moniker he would use to rent out real estate, according to O Globo. This is where the investigation of the serial killer’s crimes began.
Teixeira would kill individuals when he was angry, according to Krasovic, who has told both Brazilian media outlets. According to O Globo, police also disclosed that the serial killer described the nature of both his earlier killings and subsequent murders, including how he originally used fish poison (pufferfish poison) before switching to using knives to kill his victims.
