After being convicted on four counts of fraud and conspiracy, Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes is set for an early release for behaving “well enough” during her six weeks in prison.

Who is Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes?

Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes is the founder of the blood-testing laboratory. She was considered the world’s youngest self-made woman billionaire.

However, according to Britannica, accusations against her company made her “hard-earned” savings disappear and the Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes was convicted of fraud. The source also revealed that Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes secured funding from investors and established infrastructure and proprietary processes in secret.

In March 2018, SEC charged the Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes and its former president with fraud by obtaining $700 million from their investors.

Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes Set For An Early Release

Recently, Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes will be on early release for behaving well enough. Her 11-year prison sentence was slashed by two years and she will be released on Dec. 29, 2032, from a Texas prison.

According to AP News, Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes was qualified for an early release under the government’s “good time,” which allowed her to get out of prison weeks before her 49th birthday.

Meanwhile, aside for Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes, other inmates can also have their early release by participating in various programs, CNN reported.
