RECEIVE YOUR CASH ASSISTANCE – Check the full list of states that offer cash assistance to eligible families.

In order to lessen the burden of high-rate inflation, several states provide cash assistance to qualified and deserving families. Americans are feeling the impact of expensive commodities and services as they plea for cash assistance.

This is the full list of States that extend their cash assistance:

      1. State of Pennsylvania

Starting July 1st, Pennsylvanians are expected to receive cash assistance amounting from $250 to $975 due to Property Tax/Rent Refund Program. This cash assistance program prioritizes the elderly, widows, and people dealing with disabilities. To secure this cash assistance, you must ensure that all your properties are paid with rent so as taxes.

      2. State of Montana

The state of Montana will start giving cash assistance to its residents starting July 3 ranging from $1,250 to $2,500. This refund program is aligned with the one-time income tax rebates for residents who filed their 2021 tax returns.

Singles and heads of family can receive up to $1,250 and joint filers can have as much as $2,500.

To qualify for this cash assistance from Montana, you must:

  • be a resident for the entire 2021 tax year beginning June 01, 2021
  • have filed a 2020 Montana resident or part-year return
  • have filed a 2021 resident tax return
  • have filed your 2020 and 2021 tax returns by due date for tax year 2021 including extensions
  • have not claimed as a dependent by another taxpayer for federal income tax purposes in tax year 2021
  • have an amount greater than zero for your line 20 of your 2021 Montana Form 2

Approximately 530,000 taxpayers may qualify for this cash assistance.

       3. State of Colorado

Residents from Colorado can receive a maximum amount of cash assistance ($1,044) from Property Tax, Rent, Heat (PTC) Rebate payment in July. The cash assistance program with a $7 million budget aims to aid the elder persons and low-income households affected by rising prices.

In order to qualify for this cash assistance, candidates must meet several criteria including the income limit for single and joint filers ($16,925 and $22,858).

In addition to the above qualification, one must at least meet one additional requirement from the following:

  • 65 year old or older
  • a striving spouse, aged 58 or more
  • disabled and even unemployed due to serious health conditions
  • paid the property taxes and heating bills between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022
  • not a dependent from a regular taxpayer

Thus, the due date for this cash assistance application is on June 10.

       4. State of Georgia

In the meantime, taxpayers from Georgia can receive cash assistance up to $500 from a program with a surplus fund of $1 billion. Individual filers can earn up to $250, heads of family can receive $375, and couples for $500.

In order to avail this cash assistance, taxpayers must file both 2021 and 2022 taxes and the amount must not exceed previous income tax liability.
