The Frederick City police reported that a Maryland father has been arrested on charges of child abuse following significant injuries sustained by his six-week-old baby.
A Maryland Father Arrested for the Injuries of His Own Baby
Kath Patrick Lewis, a 34-year-old father of a six-week-old baby was arrested. The Mary Land father was arrested due to the injuries found on his baby.
The man was charged on Friday with first- and second-degree child abuse. On Wednesday, the Maryland Father’s six-week-old baby was brought to the Frederick Health Hospital and was transferred to Children’s National Hospital, according to FOX News.
According to FOX 5, the investigation of Kath Patrick Lewis started on July 19 right after his six-week-old baby was admitted to the Hospital with bone fractures and more severe injuries.

What’s Next for the Maryland Father?
According to the statement of the authorities, the investigation regarding the case continued. The FPD detectives examined the area of the incident including the residents, further interviews also were conducted.
Following a thorough investigation and the expert evaluation of the child’s medical professionals at the hospital, detectives secured an arrest warrant for Keith Patrick Lewis, as stated in the official statement.
The Maryland father was taken into custody and subsequently transferred to the Frederick County detention center, where he was initially held without bond. However, during a bond hearing on July 24, the bond amount was reduced to $10,000.
