In a tragic fatal New York Shooting, a 41-year-old man has recently pleaded guilty to the murder of a father of three.
Tragic New York Shooting
Last July 22, 2018, Alejandro Vargas-Diaz and Albert Luiz Rodriguez-Lopez got into a heated argument at Port Jefferson Hall.
As the argument continued, Vargas-Diaz was punched hard in the face by Rodriguez-Lopez which brought him down to the ground.
According to Law and Crime, Vargas-Diaz then sought revenge on Rodriguez-Lopez, with multiple shots on his neck, should, and back. This was all a surprise attack by Vargas-Diaz inside the Port Jefferson Poll Hall. Afterward, the suspect fled away, leaving the dead victim at the scene.
Suspect Arrested in Florida
On June 18, 2018, the suspect Vargas-Diaz responsible for the New York shooting at the Port Jefferson Hall was finally captured in Florida, says FOX News.
On November 11, 2021, the suspect was transported to Suffolk County, New York, to face arraignment on charges of murder. The suspect pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and second-degree possession of a weapon.
The suspect responsible for the New York shooting incident could face 23 years of life in prison. On September 13, 2023, Vargas-Diaz is scheduled to be sentenced.
