A woman in Arizona is facing attempted murder charges after attempting to kill her husband by poisoning his coffee. The woman allegedly added a dangerous substance to the coffee in an attempt to kill her husband.

Melody Felicano Johnson of Tucson was sentenced by a grand jury of first-degree attempted murder charges of attempting to commit aggravated assault and poisoning food or drink.

According to court documents, Roby Johnson husband of the Arizona woman facing attempted murder charges said that he started noticing a strange taste in his coffee while him and his wife, Melody Johnson, who was now facing attempted murder charges, were in Germany. The couple was said to be going through a divorce but still lived together with their child.

Roby Johnson alleged found high levels of chlorine in his coffee pot using pool testing strips. He was said to haveused a hidden camera and observed Melody Johnson who was now facing attempted murder charges, adding an unknown substance to the coffee maker. Instead of confronting the Arizona woman that is now facing attempted murder charges, Roby continued fake drinking the coffee and waited until they returned to Davis Monthan Air Force Base before filing a police report.

Investigators are speculating that believes the Arizona woman that is now facing attempted murder charges was trying to kill Roby Johnson to collect death benefits.

The Arizona woman that is now facing attempted murder charges pleaded not guilty during the arraignment.

In a Daily Mail report, the Police was said to have arrested Melody at the home, after Roby submitted evidence of Melody, now facing attempted murder charges, of trying to poison him. A search warrant was issued and the report is saying that the coffee pot smelt like bleach.

The Arizona woman that is now facing attempted murder charges is being held at the Pima County Jail with a high bond of $250,000 and is set to appear in court this coming September 6.

According to the prosecution, there was a flight risk as it was said that Melody Johnson, now facing attempted murder charges, just bought a house in the Philippines.
