Criminal Cases In Iowa

In a published report of Southwest Journal, when it concerns aggressive and criminal activity involving property, we observed that Iowa has some fascinating data in comparison to the national average. The federal government leads in arson cases but falls short in murder and violent assault. Surprisingly, the municipality with the highest number of attacks and assassinations in the entire state has an estimated population of less than 26,000 people.

The city of Council Bluffs has the second highest criminal activity rate in the state as well as the most criminal activity involving property rate; Ottumwa has the greatest incidence of violent criminals in the state, with 946 incidences per 100k people. The theft of property is also a major problem, with the city ranking third in this category with 3,906 incidents per 100,000 inhabitants; Davenport has the greatest crime rate in the area; and Fort Dodge has the highest murder rate in the state, with a population of 23,755.
