Chinese foreign ministry commented that the US was the true Empire of lies on Saturday rebuking the U.S. State Department report accusing Beijing ploughing billions of dollars annually for information manipulation efforts.

In a report published by the U.S. Department on Thursday, they describe China as manipulating global media through censorship, data harvesting, and covert purchases of foreign outlets. While China commented that uS was a true empire of lies.
In a report by Reuters, though there were unprecedented resources, Beijing hit major setbacks when being targeted by democratic countries because of the local media and civil society push-back that was produced by the congressional mandate state information manipulation but China continues to claim the US as the empire of lies.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the report disregarded the facts and left the false information. Another Chinese ministry said that the U.S. State Department produced false information and the command post of ‘cognitive warfare” That is why they called them the True Empire of Lies.

In another report by The times of India, the U.S. report is released at a time of controversy about the True Empire of lies over China’s initiatives in recent years to expand the reach of its government-controlled media internationally. Beijing wants to fight the unfavorable perceptions of China that it believes are being spread by international media.
