Crown Hill Cemetery’s Break-In Incident
A break-in occurred at Crown Hill Cemetery in Colorado. The break-in at the Crown Hill Cemetery resulted to body parts taken from a casket in a private mausoleum.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the damage at Crown Hill Cemetery. The front of the mausoleum located at Crown Hill Cemetery, the crypt, and the casket were severely damaged.
Unknown suspects broke into the crypt at Crown Hill Cemetery and removed body parts from the casket. This Crown Hill Cemetery incident is being investigated as a serious felony, with potential charges including corpse abuse and third-degree burglary.
According to an article by NBC 11 News, the Crown Hill Cemetery management is working with law enforcement. Anyone with information about the Crown Hill Cemetery break-in is urged to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Damage Value At $30,000
In a published article by Colorado Community Media, the damage of the break-in is valued at approximately $30,000. The deceased and the stolen body parts have not been identified yet.
No information about the suspects is available at this time. Once found, they will face charges of abuse of a corpse, felony criminal mischief, 3rd-degree burglary, and theft.
