Albertsons Grocery Stores’ Fund Raising Campaign

Albertsons grocery stores have successfully raised close to $6 million. This movement by Albertsons grocery stores is to support federal food assistance programs such as SNAP and WIC.

Albertsons grocery stores’ Nourishing Neighbors charitable program intends to distribute these funds to 130 organizations. Albertsons grocery stores’ ultimate objective is to assist 50,000 eligible individuals.

This objective of the Albertsons grocery stores is in regards to enrolling for SNAP and WIC benefits by the year 2023. SNAP, a federal initiative, offers families a pre-loaded EBT card to purchase groceries from authorized stores such as Albertsons grocery stores. To qualify, individuals must meet their respective state’s requirements, including income limits.

According to a published article by The U.S. Sun, Nourishing Neighbors of Albertsons grocery stores strive to provide access to food for vulnerable individuals and families through local food banks, soup kitchens, and community organizations.

Additionally, Albertsons grocery stores provide online SNAP access and educational resources within its stores.

One Billion Meals By 2030
