The New York Yankees Coach

Former Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels manager Brad Ausmus has been hired as the new New York Yankees coach. The new New York Yankees coach, Brad Ausmus, is replacing Carlos Mendoza.

Ausmus, the newest New York Yankees coach, had previously served as the bench coach for the Oakland Athletics in 2022. Mendoza, the former New York Yankees coach, on the other hand, left the Yankees to become the manager for the New York Mets.

This opportunity of being a New York Yankees coach is Ausmus’ third stint as a bench coach after serving in the role in 2018-2019. Aside from the news about the newest New York Yankees coach, the team also had a disappointing season with a record of 82-80, missing the playoffs.

According to a published article by AP News, the newest New York Yankees coach had a long playing career, spending 18 seasons in the major leagues with the Padres, Tigers, and Astros. The newest New York Yankees coach also has a record of 386-422.

The Third Bench Coach

In a published article by ESPN, Brad Ausmus, the new New York Yankees coach, spent the year 2022 season as the Oakland Athletics’ bench coach.

With his newest opportunity, he has become the third bench coach for Yankees manager Aaron Boone. The team he will now be coaching, The New York Yankees had a disappointing season, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
