The vehicle was stolen from a school using a key found inside. The police responded to a call and found the boy driving without headlights on.
The chase ended when the child left the city limits, and he was later taken into custody and placed in a juvenile detention center. No one was reported harmed during the incident regarding the stolen machinery.
