Revealing the Unusual Arsenal

In  a recent report published by New York Post, in November 28, 2023, Christopher Boyd, a 32-year-old ex-convict, took the term “concealed carry” to a whole new level when officers from Indiana Police Department discovered he had stashed a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard in his anal cavity. The traffic stop initially occurred at 2 a.m. on a Monday when Boyd’s vehicle was pulled over by Indiana Police Department due to an obscured license plate. The unfolding events revealed not only the bizarre hiding place for the firearm but also a series of alarming substances on Boyd’s person, including a bag of pills and illicit drugs.

As Indiana Police Department officials continued their search, a body scan exposed a “large object” in Boyd’s groin area, leading to a strip search that ultimately unveiled the concealed firearm. The Smith & Wesson Bodyguard, a .380-caliber gun weighing less than a pound, was discovered in Boyd’s rectum. Despite being lightweight and compact, the firearm raised concerns about its loaded status, a detail left unclear in the Indiana Police Department police report.

What adds another layer of complexity to this peculiar case is Boyd’s criminal history—he had previously been convicted of attempted murder, burglary, and domestic battery, resulting in a ban on firearm possession. In addition to the concealed gun, Indiana Police Department officers found bags of marijuana hidden on Boyd, posing further legal complications as recreational marijuana remains illegal in Indiana.

Serious Charges for the Offender

In a news released by Newsbreak, as a result of this bizarre incident, Christopher Boyd now faces a slew of felony charges, including drug possession, illegal firearm possession, and trafficking. The discovery of Indiana Police Department of the hidden firearm and the illicit substances tucked away on his person led to Boyd being held at Vanderburgh County Jail without bond.

The charges serve as a stark reminder of the challenges law enforcement Indiana Police Department officers face during routine stops and the unpredictable nature of individuals with criminal backgrounds. The incident also raises questions about the effectiveness of background checks and the need for enhanced measures to ensure public safety in the face of such unusual and potentially dangerous situations.
