Be Wary Of These Places In Nashville

Places in Nashville have several dangerous neighborhoods where the crime rate is significantly higher than the national average. According to a published article by ESTA, Talbot’s Corner is one of the places in Nashville known for its high rates of violent crime, including shootings.

One of the other places in Nashville deemed dangerous is Antioch which is the fastest-growing part of Davidson County and also experiences crime spikes, particularly in drugs, shootings, and car break-ins.

Glencliff one one of the places in Nashville considered unsafe and a historically significant community that was built by slaves has a high rate of assault and theft incidents.

Heron Walk is one of the most dangerous places in Nashville with a population of 11,940 and a crime rate that is 884% higher than the national average which relatively consistent over the years despite no changes in the police force.

Buena Vista Heights is another location that made it to the list of the most unsafe places in Nashville with a population of 1,460 and has experienced several gang shootings and break-ins, leading to loss of life and hospitalizations.

Despite police efforts, break-ins have continued to increase, making Buena Vista Heights one of the most dangerous places in Nashville.

Walking or biking during the day in the places in Nashville is generally safe, but caution is advised at night, especially for female travelers who are encouraged to stay in recommended hotels rather than walking around after sunset.

Unsafe Cities For Walking

In a published article by The Tennessean, Nashville, and Memphis are not considered safe cities for walking. Memphis is ranked at the bottom of the list, being the most dangerous city for pedestrians, and Nashville comes in second. Both cities have seen a rise in pedestrian deaths in recent years.
