The Montana tax rebate is set to be distributed by the end of this month.
An Update About The Montana Tax Rebate
Montana residents will receive their Montana tax rebate by the end of the month. The Montana tax rebate, worth up to $2,500, is being distributed by the Montana Department of Revenue and began in July.
To qualify for the Montana tax rebate, residents must have filed their 2021 tax returns on time and meet certain criteria, such as being a resident for the entire 2021 tax year and not being claimed as a dependent on someone else’s tax form. Married joint filers for the Montana tax rebate can receive up to $2,500, while individual filers can get $1,250.
The Montana tax rebate is intended to return overpaid taxes to Montana taxpayers. Eligible taxpayers do not need to take any additional steps to receive the Montana tax rebate, and it should be received by the end of the year.
According to a published article by Newsweek, other states, such as Alabama, Arizona, and Virginia, have also provided direct payments to residents after the federal government’s pandemic-era support ended.
