Authorities Investigate 10th Homicide of the Year as Man Found Fatally Shot in Hayward
A heartbreaking find made close to the Hayward Executive Airport in the wee hours of New Year’s Eve has shocked the community. Police were called to the intersection of Sueirro Street and Skywest Drive, which is on the eastern border of the airport, at around 12:47 a.m.
When the police came, they discovered an unconscious man in the street with what seemed to be a gunshot wound. Sadly, the individual was declared dead on the spot.
This tragic tragedy, Hayward’s tenth homicide of the year, has prompted authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation; the victim’s identification has not yet been made public. The community is looking for answers and justice for the victim as law enforcement investigates the shooting with diligence.
