Another one of the most unsafe neighborhoods in Boston is South End which has a high crime rate, especially for property crimes, and residents are advised against leaving personal items in their vehicles.
North Dorchester is also on the list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Boston, with crime rates above the national average, particularly for property crimes.
South Dorchester is also one of the high-crime neighborhoods in Boston with a total crime rate of 3,295 per 100,000 residents, which is 142% higher than the state average. Although most of the crimes are related to property, violent crimes do happen.
