A fatal head-on collision killed 78-year-old Fresno resident John Tarter, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office. Saturday’s 2:30 p.m. Millerton Road-Marina Drive collision happened. The collision included 35-year-old Ryan Trevino’s 2016 blue Chevy Silverado driving west on Millerton and Tarter’s 2018 white Toyota Tundra driving east.

According to witnesses, the Chevy was driving dangerously, crossing a double solid yellow line before hitting the Toyota head-on, according to the California Highway Patrol. Tarter died in the crash, while Trevino and a Toyota passenger were seriously injured.
