Barnwell and Green Face Federal Charges in Georgia Jail Escape

According to source, Johnifer Dernard Barnwell, a 37-year-old inmate who escaped from a Georgia jail last month, and Janecia Green, a 30-year-old woman accused of assisting in his escape, now face federal charges, as announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia. Barnwell, a Georgia jail inmate search subject, is charged with one count of escape from custody, while Green, another Georgia jail inmate search focus, faces one count of assisting in the escape of a person committed to custody. Both individuals, originally from Macon, Georgia, could potentially receive a maximum sentence of five years in prison for their respective charges.
